Film photography has made a massive resurgence in recent years and now at Blue Sky Printing we have decided to offer our customers in house film processing, scanning and printing via our London Film Lab store. We have invested heavily in the best equipment available to process and scan your film. We offer 35mm and 120 film processing on a next day service.

Here at Blue Sky Printing we love all aspects of photography. We have now opened a film lab in East London called London Film Lab, but don’t worry there’s no need to trek up to London just drop off in either our Chelmsford or Colchester stores and we will sort out the rest. With over 20 years experience in film processing we really know how to offer you the best in development.

High End Negative Scanning

Digitise your Negatives into High Resolution Image Files

We use Noritsu HS-1800 scanners to scan your 120 and 35mm negatives into files sizes up to 30 megapixels; depending on what service you choose. These files can be supplied in JPG or 16 Bit TIFF formats. Once scanned we will send you a link to download your files. When scanning your negs we will go through each image individually and adjust them, unless you request for us not to.

All film is now processed in our London Film Lab store, this means we can process most types of film within 24hrs. London Film Lab is our dedicated space just off of Brick Lane specialising in offering high end film developing at reasonable prices. Just bring your film to your local Blue Sky Printing store and we can organise the processing for you.
We process a lot of out of date film and you would really be pleasantly surprised with how well it comes out. If film has been kept relatively cool, you will generally get pretty decent images out of it well past is expiry date.
We run control strips on our chemistry every other day to make sure your negatives come out as well as possible.

We offer two different resolution options:

High Resolution 6700 x 4400px

Low Resolution 2000×3000 pixels
We can offer you files in JPG or 16 Bit TIFF format, there is no difference in cost between the two.
Yes we do. We process all types of black and white film in 35mm and 120 medium format.
Yes we do process ECN2 film which is repurposed movie film stock. It gives great tonal range and very low grain, perfect for those cinematic looking images.
Yes we do process E6 slide film on a regular basis.
